Introduction:
The new update is a large one. It has MANY wonderful changes to the program.
This update will have a learning curve associated with it. It is recommended that only one person in your company decide if you want to continue with the update today.
If you are very busy we suggest that you first read the help and familiarize yourself with all the new features and then do the update over a weekend when you have time to focus and "experiment."

IMPORTANT! Make a backup of your database file before you do the update.

New Purchase Order Wizard:
We are extremely excited to release our new purchase order wizard. This new wizard now has filtering options and you can select to only view orders based on certain criteria. You can also choose between consolidating your orders or ordering by WO. The new PO wizard has many additional features. So many, that it is HIGHLY recommended that you read the help file before you update to revision 28 to get familiar with the new look and what it can now do. We have a brand new help section on this wizard and we respectfully request that you first read entire purchase order section in the help file before you create a support ticket.

Real Time Vendor Integration:
This is a new feature offered in the purchase order section of FastManager. Again, please read the help first. Alpha, Broder and NES are currently the only vendors that are directly integrated. Bodek, SanMar and Tri-Mountain have expressed interest and it would be in your best interest to contact your reps to move the process along quicker.
We are open to other vendors becoming directly integrated as well and after you contact them they can e-mail vendors@fastmanager.com for more information.
Direct Integration for most customers will eliminate hours off of ordering your goods. It also makes your job costing more accurate and timely as it updates your cost tables in the profit analysis tool automatically.
This is an incredible addition and we STRONGLY encourage you to contact your vendors and "politely request" that they get involved. Many vendors don't seem to understand the benefit of being in our system. They seem to react faster when they realize that their paying customers have more convenient options elsewhere.

New Job Board:
FastManager has a new Job Board. One of the new features allows you to completely customize the job board to suite your needs. We added many more columns of order data that can be re-sized, relocated and/or hidden from your view. FastManager now also keeps a history of all work order status and comment changes. This is an excellent communication tool regarding the progress of an order. Please read the updated help file online to read more about the changes.
